LA Clippers app redesign
Overview

In 2024, the LA Clippers launched the Intuit Dome, the most innovative venue in the world. This move required a complete digital transformation to unite a loyal fandom with a next-generation arena experience. I led a team of five UI designers to redefine the app's visual identity, creating a customizable visual system to connect the fandom.

The Challenge

Finding the sweet spot between two extremes: the raw, street-level energy of the Clippers brand and the polished, high-tech nature of a brand-new venue. We had to conceive a dual-identity UI — the app needed the flexibility to pivot between a Clipper-centric theme and a neutral Event Mode for concerts and third-party shows, all while maintaining a seamless and consistent user experience.

Once the style was approved, we split into different pods to craft the different flows (authentication, ticketing, etc.) and from there fed and documented the design system.
